Database tips
Setting default fields values
A. Open 'Default values' dialog using menu command Tools->Default Values
B. Set only fields, you wish to have with preset values.
C. Press 'Ok'.
Addiing external files - PDF, videos, audio, manual, etc.
Multi Collector allows to add references (links) for external files stored on local storage. Simply drag & drop your files into 'Text' field.
Warning. DB doesn't store files, only links to your files!
Synchronizing between many computers
The easiest way to synchronize your data between various computers running Mac and Windows is to setup Dropbox.
Install Dropbox on all computers, create your Dropbox account.
Move your database into Dropbox, or create symlink for your database location using 3rd party apps.
Moving Database
Database is a set of file with .MC extension and folder with same name. Folder contains database images and reports.
To move database, symply copy your files to another computer. Use 'Add Existing' button in the Database Manager to add DB.

LignUp Multi Collector is a way for collectors to keep track of their collections in a database.
After installation, you are shown the preferences tab, saving you time later. Autosave times, updates, Windows geometry, and database settings are some of the preferences available. Once completed, the application has a few small databases in place to test out and get familiar with the program.
The interface from here is very well laid out and easy to understand. Buttons on the top include New, Add, Backup, Manager, and Delete. There is also an icon to save your databases to Dropbox. You can quickly sort the collection as you like, add tags and keep all necessary information about items in a database.
Once you create or edit a database, it gets a little more complicated, but once again is laid out in an intuitive interface. This is the part of the program that is worth spending some time on the test databases to become familiar with how to add your collections.
Anytime you wish, you can also print your database in numerous formats including PDF, Excel CSV, HTML, and others so you can show off or share your collections.
Creating a database of your collections, or anything for that matter, can be pretty complicated. LignUp Multi Collector makes it as simple as possible with its intuitive interface and numerous options.
