MendeleyMendeley On Mac

Mendeley is a free academic tool designed to help you manage your research and references, as well as collaborate with people online and organize your projects on a single, easy-to-use interface. This program can help you research topics in an organized and comprehensive way, using its features and network to connect to other researchers who might be able to help with your project.
The first thing you have to do is create a profile, which you can access from any device running Mac, Windows, or Android operating systems, as well as any web browser. Once you've downloaded Mendeley and created your account, you can start uploading the files you need for your research. One of the best parts of using this tool is importing articles from other programs in a matter of seconds, compiling everything you need in one place.
In addition, Mendeley can automatically generate bibliographies. That way, you don't have to waste time finding the right way to format it. This application also points out articles related to your research, giving you a broader idea of the concepts at play and making sure you know all the pertinent details.
You can also use this application to connect with other researchers by offering and receiving help. This network includes experts from all fields, all over the world. To contact you, all they have to do is open your profile and get in touch.

Synchronize Documents

Mendeley is composed of two key components: (1) a cross-platform desktop client and (2) a web application. What does this mean for you? Basically, you can take your research with you wherever you go. You can have Mendeley Desktop installed on multiple computers, running different operating systems, and always have access to the same documents (remember, MD is a free download). You can also access your library from the web, on a computer without a Mendeley Desktop installation (eg, a public library terminal).
Mendeley Desktop is available for all modern flavors of Mac, Windows and Linux. It is also available for iOS.
Since Mendeley synchronizes your library to Mendeley Web, this means that any computer you have access to the internet through, you should be able to access your library.

There are multiple things that get synchronized between Mendeley Desktop and Mendeley Web. Your library (references and/or files), annotations, groups, and more.
Here are a few examples of how you can see Mendeley's synchronizing powers:
  1. Install Mendeley on multiple systems. Log in with your credentials on each computer (Win/Mac/Linux) and you will have the same library available on each computer. iOS mobile devices included!
  2. Add a new document (or even a folder of PDFs) to your library. Press 'Synch' button. Go to Mendeley Web, check your library for the newly added files. Available for you wherever you go (with Internet access!).
  3. Create a private group to collaborate with a colleague. Share a PDF in that group and have your colleague annotate it. Synch and see your colleagues annotations. Notice the coloured highlighting.
